Proma Estate, founded in 2003, has been managed by Pierre Legare until the beginning of 2009. For more than 20 years, Pierre Legare worked for SNC-Lavalin in Canada, one of the largest international companies in engineering and construction, starting as construction manager and later on reaching the position of vice-president.
In 2009, Pierre entered into a partnership with Sara Da Costa Lopes to further develop the Company.
Sara Da Costa Lopes joined Proma Estate beginning of 2007, after many years of experience gained in the water management area in France and abroad within well-known international groups.
Although Proma Estate projects started in Moscow, our Company now manages projects in towns across Russia, including Tver, Nizhniy Novgorod, Yaroslavl and Smolensk. Proma Estate's customers are companies from various industries that want to increase their operation areas, need modern offices, industrial premises and warehouses that meet all appropriate requirements, as well as investors looking for good returns for their capital in Russian real estate.
More recently, being aware of the climate change issues, Proma Estate is willing to be more implicated in the promotion of sustainable and smart construction more focused on environmental protection and less on exploiting natural resources. This goal is fundamental in Russia, where demand for new buildings is particularly great and where many older buildings need to be restored .
This is why we have become a member of the French-Russian Centre for Energy Efficiency as well as a member of the Russia Green Building Council (RuGBC). In 2010, Proma Estate obtained the BREEAM Certification, which allows it to assess commercial buildings based on this international environmental building standard.
